How to play
-
Player chooses a card from either their hand or the face up cards on the table, and presents it to a player (Victim) of their choice.
-
The player who receives the card (the victim) must then place that card on one side of their face down card whilst abiding the following rules:
If the card is related to their mystery monster, player must place that card face up on the side they have secretly chosen to be their related side.
If the card is not related, they must put it face up on the side they have chosen to be the unrelated side (opposite to the related side)
If the players mystery monster is a Unicorn, they may ignore the two previous rules, as they can choose their relatives.
-
Player one then replenishes their hand from one of the face up cards, (if they used a card from their hand) And a new card is flipped from the draw pile to replace the face up card taken.
-
Play then continues clockwise
-
If you think you know an opponent’s “Mystery Monster” You may choose to verbally guess it to get them out, instead of playing a card at them. Make sure you are sure of it though, as if you get it wrong you are out.
The last standing player is the winner

What do I Do if There are no cards left in the draw pile?

Note: This generally only happens if all players are new to the game and have not developed a strategy. Try playing a range of beasts and colours to reveal your opponents monster sooner
Other Hints and Alternatives
Hint
Play a variety of colours and beasts against opponents to find clues quicker.
Hint
If you know an opponents Mystery Monster, but they are not threatening you (in other words…they are picking on another opponent) it may be worth letting them live a round or two more. Don’t forget…their cards are your intel.
Alternative
Instead of playing clockwise, allow the victim to play next.
